Our base is the Bondi beach strip, and the Eastern Suburbs work spreads out from there: Campbell Parade and Bondi Road, the Oxford Street Mall and the Westfield Bondi Junction surrounds, then Waverley, Bronte, Tamarama, Randwick, Coogee and across to Double Bay and Rose Bay. It is a hospitality and retail economy first and an office economy second, which changes the job entirely. Salt air off the beach strips shopfront glass and window frames far faster than anywhere inland, trading hours run seven days, and the clean has to be finished before the first customer walks in rather than after the last one leaves.

Most Eastern Suburbs commercial cleaning is written as if every client were an office. Ours is not. The bulk of what we clean between Campbell Parade and Bondi Junction is food service, retail and personal services — a cafe that opens at six, a salon that colours until eight, a boutique whose fitting-room mirrors are the first thing a customer inspects. Each of those has a hard deadline and a surface list that a generic office scope simply does not cover.

So we work the closed window. Floors, banquettes, coffee machine surrounds, prep benches, basins, display cabinets and front glass, finished before you unlock. Exterior frontage goes on its own cycle because salt film returns whether or not anyone books it, and stone benchtops, mirrors and salon basins each get the product they are rated for rather than the strongest thing on the trolley.

Further out — Randwick, Coogee, Woollahra, Double Bay and Rose Bay — the mix shifts toward clinics, showrooms and professional offices, and the schedule shifts with it. Fully insured, background-checked crews, a fixed price against a written scope, and the same team each visit so nobody has to be told twice which door is the one with the temperamental lock.
